How Trades Are Settled
How trades are settled on Novig: Once the event concludes, results are verified against official data sources and trades are graded accordingly. Settlement typically occurs within 30 minutes of the event ending. You can check the status of any trade in your Portfolio. For instance, a halftime spread market is graded as a loss if the team does not cover the spread at halftime. Similarly, in spreads, a +3.5 games market for a player who still falls short of the opponent's score results in a loss.
What Happens If a Trade Is Graded Incorrectly
If you believe your trade was graded incorrectly, you can request a review. Reach out through the chat with your trade or order slip ID (or the event name and your selection if you don't have the ID), and explain what you believe the correct outcome should be. Our team will review the settlement against official statistics and get back to you, usually within 24β48 hours β often sooner. Just make sure to ask for a human agent.
Stat Corrections and Re-Grading
Occasionally, official statistics are corrected after initial publication. When a stat correction occurs that affects trade outcomes, Novig will re-grade affected trades. Re-grading after stat corrections typically occurs within 24 hours of the official correction, provided the correction is reported within approximately 48 hours of the event ending. Your account balance will be adjusted automatically if a re-grade changes the outcome of your trade.
Voided and Pushed Trades
A trade may be voided if the event is canceled, a player does not participate, or other conditions outlined in the Market Rules apply. When a trade is voided, your stake is returned to your account. A push occurs when the result exactly matches the line or if the player (for props) doesn't participate at any point in the event β your stake is also returned. For details on sport-specific void and push conditions, see the Market Rules article.
Dispute Review Timeline
Trade dispute reviews are handled by our team, usually within 24β48 hours and often faster. If a correction is needed, your account will be updated automatically. You'll be notified when the review is complete. Just make sure you've connected to a human agent.
