What is an Early Payout?
An Early Payout is the instant credit of your guaranteed minimum winnings when your combined positions lock in a profit. Because Novig matches trades between users, it can calculate what you're guaranteed to win — and pays it out right away.
How does hedging trigger an Early Payout?
When you place opposing trades on the same game (e.g., backing both Team A and Team B), part of your payout becomes certain no matter who wins. Novig detects this guaranteed portion and credits it instantly to your account. The remaining uncertain portion is settled after the game.
Example:
You trade $150 on the Eagles to win at .555 and $100 on the Giants to win at .46. Total paid: $250.
If Eagles win: you receive $270 total
If Giants win: you receive $217 total
Your guaranteed minimum: $217
Novig instantly credits $217 to your account. The additional $53 (if Eagles win) is settled after the game. Your net result is the same either way — the Early Payout just gives you the guaranteed portion immediately.

What's the difference between Early Payout and a Cash Out?
Early Payout happens automatically when you've hedged both sides of a market and locked in a guaranteed profit — Novig credits that guaranteed amount instantly, with no fee or reduction. Cash Out is different: it's something you actively choose to do on a single open position, closing it at the current market price, which can be higher or lower than your stake.

Can I cash out a parlay early?
No. Early payout is not available for parlays. Once a parlay is submitted, it is processed instantly and cannot be cancelled or refunded.
