Responsible Gameplay at Novig — Limits, Self-Assessment & Support

Novig is committed to responsible gameplay. We want playing on Novig to be a fun, social activity — not something that negatively affects your life. We provide tools to help you manage your engagement, and we encourage you to use them.

What Is Responsible Gameplay?

Responsible gameplay means enjoying Novig's sports trading as entertainment while staying in control of your time and spending. It means playing within your means, not using gameplay to escape reality or generate income, and using our management tools when you need them.

Setting Gameplay Limits

How do I set limits on my gameplay?

In the app, go to the Account section and select "Gameplay Limits." You can set the following:

  • Purchase limits — Daily, weekly, or monthly maximum purchases of Novig Coins

  • Cash order limits — Daily, weekly, or monthly limits on Novig Cash trades

  • Time out (account suspension) — Suspend your account for 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months

  • Permanent account closure — Email [email protected] with the subject line "CLOSE MY ACCOUNT"

You can also set limits by contacting us through Live Chat.

When do my limits take effect?

Limits are processed by our team and confirmed by email. They are not active until confirmed. If you don't see them applied after confirmation, contact us immediately.

Can I change or remove a limit?

Yes. You can modify or remove limits through the Gameplay Limits section in your account settings, or by contacting support. Changes to purchase or order limits take effect 24 hours after the modification request.

Keeping Track of Your Gameplay

How can I monitor my gameplay?

View your transaction history any time by tapping the Account icon in the app and selecting the Transactions tab. This shows your purchases, trades, and redemptions. Being aware of how much you're spending and how much time you're spending on the platform is an important part of staying in control.

Tips for maintaining healthy gameplay habits:

  • Treat Novig as entertainment, not a way to make money

  • Set a budget and stick to it

  • Only purchase Novig Coins if you can afford it — remember, Novig Cash is always free

  • Don't let gameplay take up excessive time, just as you would with any entertainment activity

Self-Assessment — Is My Gameplay Becoming Problematic?

If you're wondering whether your gameplay is becoming a problem, consider these questions. The more you answer "yes," the more likely it is you're experiencing difficulties:

  • Do you often re-live gameplay experiences or think about future ones?

  • Do you hide or lie about your gameplay?

  • Do you get angry when interrupted during a game?

  • Have you ever binged on gameplay after taking a break?

  • Do you use gameplay to soothe negative emotions?

  • Do you play early in the morning or find ways to play when away from home?

  • Do you set limits and then break them?

  • Have you lost sleep, skipped work, or skipped classes to play?

  • Have you deleted your account and later returned?

  • Do you feel guilt or shame around your gameplay?

  • Has gameplay affected your relationships or replaced hobbies?

  • Has your time spent on gameplay increased over time?

If you answered "yes" to multiple questions, consider reaching out to a support organization (see below).
