Using Coinflow for Stablecoin Payments

Updated over 2 weeks ago

1. What is Coinflow?

Coinflow is a secure on-chain checkout that allows you to pay for Novig Coins packages with cryptocurrency (only stablecoins for now).

  • Coinflow generates a one-time wallet address for each purchase

  • Accepts USDC or USDT on supported networks

  • Credits your Novig Coins and Cash balance as soon as the payment confirms on-chain

Other tokens and additional networks are coming soon.

Specifically, Ethereum and Solana are among the networks that will be supported, providing users with more options for secure transactions.

2. Step-by-Step: Completing Your Payment

  1. Select Crypto (Coinflow) at checkout.

  2. After pressing Confirm Purchase, you should see the option to Transfer from anywhere. Choose a chain, and Coinflow will handle the conversion.

  3. After selecting your chain, you can select a stablecoin.

  4. After selecting your stablecoin, a unique wallet address and exact amount appear on screen for you to copy.

  5. Send the full amount within 60 minutes. The address expires after 1 hour for security.

  6. Once your transfer confirms, Coinflow notifies us and your balance updates automatically—no screenshots or support tickets needed.

3. Timing & Expiration

  • 60-minute window: After 1 hour, the address is closed and can no longer receive funds.

  • Sent late? Coinflow automatically returns the entire amount to the originating wallet—no action required.

5. Tips for a Smooth Transaction

  • Copy-paste, don’t re-use: Always copy the fresh wallet address displayed for your current session.

  • Double-check network & token: Make sure you’re sending the correct stablecoin on the supported network (e.g., USDC on Ethereum or USDT on Solana).

  • Save your TX hash: Having the transaction ID handy allows Support to help faster if anything goes wrong.

  • Verify the deposit address: Always confirm that you are sending funds to Novig’s designated deposit address.

  • Double-check transaction details: Review all details, including the token, chain, and deposit address, before completing your transfer.

6. What are Stablecoins?

What are Stablecoins and How Are They Used in Payment Systems?

Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a stable value by being pegged to an external asset, such as the U.S. dollar. This pegging minimizes price volatility, making stablecoins a more predictable and reliable option compared to other cryptocurrencies. For example, 1 stablecoin is typically intended to be worth approximately $1.

How Stablecoins Work

Stablecoins achieve their stability by being backed by reserve assets, such as fiat currencies (e.g., USD) or other stable financial instruments. This ensures that their value remains consistent, making them a popular choice for users who want to avoid the high volatility often associated with cryptocurrencies.

Usage in Payment Systems

Stablecoins are widely used as a payment method on platforms that accept cryptocurrency. They offer a convenient way to transact without the risk of significant value fluctuations. However, some platforms may have specific requirements for using stablecoins. For instance, on Novig, stablecoins can be used as a payment method, but users must have a crypto wallet to facilitate these transactions. If you do not use crypto or have a crypto wallet, you will not be able to pay with stablecoins on such platforms. Stablecoins provide a bridge between traditional financial systems and the cryptocurrency world, offering stability and ease of use for various transactions.
