Why does Novig require verification?

Verification is required for legal compliance and to protect users. It prevents fraud and ensures that only eligible players can redeem cash prizes.

What information do I need to verify my account?

During signup, you'll provide your legal name, date of birth, address, phone number, and the last four digits of your SSN. If the information matches public records, verification is typically instant. A photo ID (US driver's license, US state ID, or passport) may also be required.

What ID documents does Novig accept?

Novig accepts a US-based driver's license, US-based state ID, or a valid passport. Documents must be current and not expired. The name on your document must match your Novig account exactly.

My verification failed. What should I do?

Check the following: your name is spelled exactly as it appears on your official documents (no nicknames), your address is current and matches your records, and your date of birth is entered correctly. Common issues include name mismatches and outdated addresses. If the problem persists, reach out through Live Chat with details about the error you're seeing.

Why can't my account be verified at all?

Novig uses a third-party verification system that makes automated decisions. If your account cannot be verified, it means the third-party software was unable to approve it. There is currently no manual review process available. Make sure all submitted information is accurate before retrying. Novig may introduce manual verification in the future β€” eligible users will be contacted directly if this becomes available.

I'm not receiving my verification code. What should I do?

For email codes, check your spam or junk folder. For SMS codes, ensure your phone can receive messages from short codes, and confirm the phone number is correct. Wait at least 60 seconds before requesting a new code. Note that some VoIP numbers may not be supported.

What is re-verification?

Novig may occasionally require re-verification for security or regulatory reasons. If you receive an "ACTION REQUIRED" email or notification, follow the provided instructions promptly. Re-verification is required to continue using redemption features.

Why does Novig need my SSN?

Novig collects the last four digits of your SSN for two reasons: to confirm your identity (verifying that you are who you say you are), and to comply with AML (anti-money laundering) and other legal obligations. This is a standard practice for sweepstakes platforms.

Can I have more than one verified Novig account?

No. Each user may only verify one Novig account. This includes accounts that have been permanently closed.
