Your Portfolio Balance is the total value of everything in your Novig account. It's made up of three parts added together:
Portfolio Balance = Wallet Balance + Open Positions + Trade Credits
Wallet Balance
This is your available cash, the money you can withdraw right now or use to place a new trade. It does not include funds that are tied up in open positions.
Open Positions
This is the current value of any trades you have that haven't settled yet. Rather than showing what you originally staked, this reflects the live market value of each position, based on what other traders would currently pay for it. That means this number moves as odds shift, and can be higher or lower than your original stake at any given moment.
Trade Credits
This is the value of any promotional credits currently available on your account. Trade credits can be applied toward eligible trades, and their value is included in your Portfolio Balance even though they aren't withdrawable cash.
Why your Portfolio Balance isn't the same as your wallet balance
Because Portfolio Balance includes the live value of open positions and any trade credits, it will often be different from your wallet balance alone. For example, if you have money in your wallet, an open position currently valued above your original stake, and an active trade credit, your Portfolio Balance will be higher than your wallet balance. If a position has moved against you, your Portfolio Balance may show less than what you originally deposited, even though nothing has settled yet.

Why did my Portfolio Balance change even though I didn't place a trade?
The value of your open positions updates continuously based on market activity. As odds move, the value of your open positions changes, which changes your total Portfolio Balance.
Can I withdraw my full Portfolio Balance?
No. You can only withdraw your wallet balance. Funds tied up in open positions aren't available until the position is closed, cashed out, or the event settles. Trade credits can't be withdrawn at all, they can only be applied toward a trade.
Does my Portfolio Balance include trade credits I haven't used yet?
Yes. Any trade credits currently available on your account are included in the total, even though they aren't cash.
